I received my Bachelor of Science degree in biology and my Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. I continued my education directly and received a Master of Science in Pediatric Dentistry (M.S.D) from Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana, and completed a pediatric dentistry residency program at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. I became board-certified and a Diplomate with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry shortly after that. I have privileges at Rady Children’s Hospital. I am also a clinical examiner for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and on the editing board of JADA magazine, the Middle East edition.
Four years ago, I decided to make San Diego my home. I joined UCLA faculty and was the associate program director for the pediatric dentistry residency program at Rady Children’s Hospital, and now I am enjoying providing high-quality service to the Point Loma community and San Diego county.
During my education I was honored with several awards such as the Ralph E McDonald Research award, the Marquette University School of Dentistry Dedication and Service award and the Academy of Dental Materials award.
Throughout my career, I have been involved in many dental and non-dental activities. I am a member of many dental societies and associations, such as the ADA, AAPD, CSPD, and San Diego Dental Society, to mention a few. In addition, I have privileges at Rady Children’s Hospital, am a clinical examiner for the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and am on the editing board of JADA magazine, the Middle East edition. I am also a member of the International Women’s Forum and a past member of the Rotary Club.
During my free time, I love to travel, scuba dive, and hike. I have seen many interesting creatures above and under water. Please do not be shy to ask me about them when you come in. I am looking forward to more adventures in the future.
